The Malaysian PM had this to say about Karamjit Singh, driver in the WRC:
“If Karamjit is a Malaysian and has been producing results and bringing honour to the country, why has support not been accorded to him?”
I may have said this before but I’ll said it again, I’m quite optimistic that Abdullah Admad Badawi is the Malaysian PM. He can see Malaysia as a whole instead of a hodge-podge of races and religions. And he dares to challenge the status quo. Jeff Ooi had this to say:

yes, Karamjit Singh’s recognitions are wayyy overdue!
he’s the best driver in malaysia i dare say…
alex yoong is nothing compared to him..
the BEST and ONLY way to help Karamjit now is by getting him the sponsors needed to defend the APRC title!!
ryo: yeah man Alex Yoong was a joke and he got so much support. What the fuck is up with that? Also Nicol David - she deserves more recognition too.
alex yoong’s support was private funded.. due to certain relations of his family..
and also good looking
but don’t expect too much recognitions given to non-bumis..
as for nicol david..
yeah, she’s reallllly good
hehehe..
