Someone whinged that she was misquoted, that what she said was taken out of context, that whoever misquoted her and had taken her words out of context was an idiot, blah blah blah ….. woah, deja vu sia?
Anyways, word on the street is that Dawn Yang has been signed up by a talent agency (Newpaper article here). Apparently she will be groomed into an actress, a singer or both. I have my misgivings about manufactured “stars” and their cookie-cutter images especially in the Asian scene, but damn … she gives me a nose bleed.

Woh, that’s a really big change done over the years, what 2 or 3? I think she must have gone through some skin whitening/bleaching to get that pan-asian look too.

Not against artificially enhanced your features but her’s a “complete makeover”.. a bit scary..
When I first saw her.. I went WOW! WHAT A BEAUTY! GORGEOUS!!! I can’t take my eyes off her!
But now after knowing that face is man-made, I still went WOW!! AMAZING SURGERY!
It’s kinda scary… You can look like anyone as long as you have the money!

anonymous: yeah agree with you regarding the plastic surgeries. I mean ultimately we don’t really care if she did or not (in her case it’s quite obvious anyway) but we do care in how she carries herself. And you know how we feel about hypocritical behaviour right?

LOL! That’s for sure she reads XLX’s! I can give anyone a 1000% guarantee plus 1000% full money refund if anyone don’t believe.
I was blocked by her too even though I had never left any comment on hers but on XLX’s. I was curious why she had my IP to block me. Seems like she is monitering the comments now instead of blocking IPs.
And high 5 on the hypocritical behaviour and contradictory thoughts for no reasons. Sometimes I wonder what’s up on her head? Her over inflated ego is not to my liking, especially when she has nothing substantial to make her cockiness justified.
As for Dawn, I’m swaying my stand on this.. I love beautiful things and people but her attempts to adopt an entire new look and identity is something unfathomable(SP?). Insecurities? Low self-esteem? Perfectionist?
Anyway, she is at this stage that she can’t denied nor admit the surgeries chapters she went through.
if her surgeries attempts were kept underwrapped(it’s highly impossible anyway), I bet her path to stardom will be smoother.
Well! You are certainly right that at least she doesn’t carry herself like that Miss WC. If it is WC who went for surgeries, I’m sure my stand will not sway. lol

ms: actually for Dawn I think at the stage, she should just come clean and move on lah. In the bigger scheme of things, and after a few years when she does become even more famous no one would really care anymore.
Do you know of Joan Rivers? She proudly admits her plastic surgeries and no one thinks less of her because she’s genuinely a funny person. So if anything, Dawn should just admit it but I think her handlers at the talent agency may have a hand in preventing her from doing so.

I don’t think it has got to do with the talent agency. If I’m not wrong, it seems that she denied it even before she is being signed.
If only she admits it at the initial stage, things will be much easier for her. Now, I doubt her courage to admit will win more fans over than if she did initially.
Hope she is able to claim better achievements in the future, if she doesn’t, people will only remember Dawn Yang as a SG’s version of Micheal Jackson. If she can bag more achievements in the future, at least apart from this “makeover” issue, others will be able to link her to her other achievements.

Some people might sneer at us who aren’t blinded by her superficial ‘ plastic’ facade and say “Oh, its none of your business whether she had surgery or not.” But look here, having plastic surgery and being quiet about it and staying out of the limelight is one thing, but BUYING fame and better prospects with money is another.
Females who don’t know any better would starve themselves stick-thin or even undergo surgery and even lose their self esteem because this plastic attention whore is being marketed and hailed as the ideal woman!!
Then again, if she would just admit instead of vehemently denying that she had surgery, we would forgive her anyway. But NO!! All she is doing is sending out the msg that screams : ” HEY , IF YOU WANT TO BE FAMOUS, GO SELL YOUR BODY OR SPLURGE YOUR PARENTS MONEY SO YOU CAN BUY A BEAUTIFUL FACE LIKE MINE!!!”
Anyone with a brain can see how ‘plastic’ and unnatural she looks, and yeah, not everyone has the priveledge of being Jap one day and Thai the next.

She claims to be Chinese, Thai, Dutch, etc.
but in the pics of her family, you can clearly see that they are all oriental-looking.
i’ve got nothing against her personally, but i don’t like the idea of other girls being fooled into thinking she was born beautiful. It’s not fair that she bought her “natural beauty” with money, while others feel bad about themselves because they weren’t born beautiful.

Dawn Yang REALLY freaks me out.
I am 100% sure she had plastic surgery. She looks NOTHING like her parents.
I don’t buy a single of that “sweet, demure, innocent, oh i’m such an angel” crap she puts forth. To go to the extent of THAT much cosmetic surgery spells W-A-C-K-O.

Arissa Cheo is much hotter than Dawn Yang. Though Dawn Yang copied Arissa’s looks but they both don’t look the same, maybe sometimes. and Dawn Yang lies… lots of lies… she’s fake.. her face is also fake.. she’s a doll.. LOL.. Arissa is way much better~ I Love Arissa!~~
