Belated birthday gifts from Paul

Paul rang me late last night, asking me to go to his place today to wash and polish my car. I was thinking that’s a strange request but I thought it’d be fun. Anyway, turned out he wanted to give me some belated birthday presents.
We did end up washing and polishing the car as well. It’s definitely quicker and more enjoyable when you have another person doing it. It also helped that we had a buffing machine. Those things cut the polishing time in half.
One thing that we found out today - metho (methylated spirits) does a great job in cleaning up cloudy headlight covers.
This has been one of the most unique birthday presents (the gifts and the car washing and polishing) that I have received in a while. ![]()

I use Stages 1 and 2 of Mothers three stage car polish to clean up yellowed car headlights. Stage 1 removes the oxidization and stage 2 to seal the surface. Works very well.
