Cat owners should really keep their cats indoors at night instead of letting them roam the neighbourhood. Not only do they kill the native birds and animals, they are extremely noisy as well.
Last night I woke up to the sound of two cats fighting and the dogs in the surrounding area barking like mad, including mine. And I got the barking amplified because Snoop sleeps in my room.
And if it ain’t fighting, it’s fucking. And either sounds from our feline friends aren’t the most pleasant to listen to. In fact cat sex sounds very sado-masochistic as well - all that screeching and high-pitch meowing. Oh behave!
Dog owners also get treated differently to cat owners. Cat owners are merely advised to keep their pets indoors but if one of our dogs got caught roaming the streets we’d get a fine for it.
I may be a dog person but I don’t hate cats. They are just doing what they do naturally. But I do hate cat owners who let them out at night. Grrr. I lost one hour’s sleep last night so excuse me for being cranky.
I agree Encik Mooi. Cats doing the naughty thang in the middle of the night.. sungguh geli sekali. There are few stray cats roaming around my neighbourhood and when they start to main-main… Eeeeeeeee!
What’s worse, often I watch Animal Planet and National Geographic. Lagi teruk, I’ve a pretty good imagination. So sometimes cannot help when they start their high pitch meowing…

Your feelings are totally understandable. I`m a cat lover but I run out of my house to chase mating cats apart in my nightgown. I feel like a party-pooper but yeah, I need to sleep. By right, they shouldn`t be loose if they`re not neutered or spayed.

My friend CC’s cat got knocked by a cat recently because it can go roaming on its own… so pls, for its sake, just keep them indoors!

Your post reminded me of one incident couple of years ago…
I had just finished reading a story about a phantom baby wailing outside the window. Was already dozing off sitting on my bed (next to the window) with the ghost story book falling off my hand. Then all of a sudden, this stray loitering outside the corridor (my room window is facing the corridor) decided to give a loud Meeeeoooowwwwww which sounded like a baby wailing… Wah lau eh… that moment I almost Ling Hun Chu Qiao (Soul jump out of my body)… LOL
Not only their sound can be irritating, it can be scary at times too.

anyway, alot of stray cats in singapore…they wander around at night…sleep on my car (Damn!)
leonard: cannot kena AIDS one lah! but rabies and other sorts of infections are a real possibility. Stray cats I can understand but here in Perth, these cats actually have owners one you know! Which is definitely highly irresponsible.

I’m a cat person, I love the kitties. But I wouldn’t hesitate to take a shotgun to the people who own the cats that keep coming to my house, killing the birds, and fighting at all hours of the night. I’m a responsible cat owner, my cats have all been fixed, and I don’t let them out. I hate people who let their cats out. They don’t deserve the privilege to own any animal. They might as well go stick their own body underneath the wheel of a moving vehicle.

cats don’t shit on hard objects unless they have to… nothing to dig…but I think it should be ok to let them out if you neuter them, but of course if they fight, then the owners should be responsible! Keep the errant cats indoors!
and oh.. the reason why they make so much noise when they fuck is that there are pricks on the balls of the male cat. It’s meant to be like that me thinks. Ah well.
