Mom returned this afternoon from her one-month trip to KL and Shanghai. And the family dynamics returned to what it was like before. I think dad and my brother has gotten so used to being by themselves for the past month that mom’s return to the household was a jarring event.
Me? I’m just a neutral observer. And although I’m glad I’ve moved out a long time ago, I know even though dad and Marvin grumbles, they can’t survive in the house without mom. Actually, let me rephrase that – the house can’t survive with them looking after it.
And all of us do missed her during the past month, in our own ways.

mums. love them, hate them, can’t live without them.
Now that I’ve been living on my own for a while, I appreciate her more. However, small doses are better than 24×7.
Ahhhh, Mommy’s Boy. hahahaha.
But, I think it’s good you move out of those nagging. Wish I could do the same. hahahaha.
My mum is strict on me and my sister … She roars when she speaks to us … :p Yet … that her way of showing loves … Ah well
Even the tigeress loves her pups like that … right? *self-comforting*
woah, that’s fast as i hardly noticed that your mum went holiday and now she’s back…time flies past really fast eh?
Lupin: that’s why I said, small doses are fine but not constant. Even though she does it because she’s concerned.
Splashmilk: wah new nick name? Yeah moms only do it because they care.
Leonard: yeah – 1 month just flew by!
Without a mom is like a fish without water. But yeah, i do agree that “Distance bring you closer to someone.” See each other everyday also no good.
yeah, that’s the way it is with mother’s, isn’t it? you love them and couldn’t live without them, but they are always going to be over-protective sometimes and nag at you. my mum drives me crazy sometimes but I couldn’t live without her.
I noticed you call your Mum “Mom” which is interesting as it’s the american pronounciation and I take it you’ve never lived in the States??
also, how old is your brother that still lives at home?
girlstar7: nope never lived in the US. Cultural creep?
My brother is 27.
