I definitely agree with the ‘work to live, dont’ live to work’ mantra. I’ve met people whose whole life is about work; long tedious hours, permanent stress and no social lives. although work is important, you have to have more interests and hobbies in your life. after all, life is short…if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss something

ront: true that, we are creatures of our environment. Although it also depends a little on the degree of materialism in the individual.

that is a nice philosophy….but try and induce that into the mind of your average asian working adults……..most would agree but it wont work in that environment.

ian: no problem. Focus on things you can do and achieve and it should help you see your job in a different light.

Leonard: in that environment, you can still do the little things that will make your day go by a little easier. The breaking up the day into little chunks method and getting out of the office once in a while, I personally find useful.

we have to live to work, if not empty stomach and slowly die!!!
