Woohoo! Last night was freaking awesome. As usual, I’ll let the pictures tell the story. The crazies for the night were Ka-Ming, Simon and me.
We bumped into familiar faces there, including Lydia and her boyfriend, and Scott – white dude in the bottom right picture. Made a new friend or two.
The highlight of the night was definitely Eddie Halliwell. Once you’ve watched the highlight clip of his set, I’m sure you’d agree with me. He even went crowd-surfing at one stage.
But the other DJs were good too and there were a lot of hands-in-the-air moments – my favourite.
Credit should also go to the lighting technicians, they did a fantastic job.
Eddie Halliwell’s set was interrupted by the fire alarm going off, and everyone was evacuated.
We waited outside for around 20 minutes for the police and firemen to give the all clear to go back inside. Whilst waiting, the crowd was entertained by 2 lovely ladies dancing on top of an unfortunate person’s car who probably thought they had really good luck when they found parking right outside the club.
And last but not least, what’s a Mooiness clubbing post without photos of perfect strangers?
The complete set of photos taken on the night can be found in my Flickr set.
This first video is a highlight clip of the night (running time – 9:15), minus Eddie Halliwell’s set. I’ve separated it out into its own video.
And this is the highlight clip of Eddie’s set (running time – 7:45).
A good night was had by all. Woo yeah.

*scrathces head* where did u hide all night? hehehe Hope you had a good time. I liked Halliwell best too. Can’t believed you got home at 6am. I left after the fire scare.
Good photos but I dunno about those tongues…
Yep, you certainly do see some weird and wonderful people at raves! it’s a good idea to take some snaps, cause you see all kinds of outfits, hair, body piercings etc.! And people are generally really friendly at raves as well. The number of times, I’ve just struck up a conversation with some random person…although most of the time, i must admit, the friendliness is chemically induced (that’s why they call it the love drug!) but hey, as long as there are good DJs, an awesome atmosphere and a cool bunch of people, you can have fun either with or without the aid of chemical enhancers! whatever floats your boat, I say!
p.s. do you have Park Life in Perth? (you might’ve done a post, I can’t remember). and also, ru going to summadayze?
ricka: I was around, I even saw you a few times remember? You must be having a *really* good time.
CW: hahah now that you’ve mentioned it, what’s with all of us sticking out our tongues?
girlstar7: yes even if you are not on something, usually the atmosphere would lift you up! Nope, no “Park Life”, unless you mean Two Tribes which happened in March.
The lineup for Summadayze looks awesome but I’m not sure if I’ll be back from my year end holidays yet. I might try for it.
Park Life is a daytime do kinda like Summadayze that was on a couple of weeks ago in Melbourne. I wasn’t sure if it was just Melbourne, but presumably Melbourne and Sydney. Yeah, think i’ll be heading for Summdayze, had an awesome time last year…look forward to the next post!!
[...] Using Saturday night’s outing at Godskitchen as an example, I wish there were two of me. One who was there purely to party, and one who was there as a blogger. The partying guy would just let loose and dance and socialise with abandon. The blogger guy would seek out cool camera angles, and figuring the good spots for taking video clips. Oh and the blogger would carry two separate cameras: each dedicated to video and photos respectively, and they’d be higher end stuff. [...]
girlstar7: yeah Two Tribes was excellent for me too. These daytime outdoor do’s are great. Roving around a big space with 3 separate arenas really adds to the fun!
Godskitchen was awesome… my only complain was cosmic gate. They played the worst set I’ve heard in a while… very disappointing.
Ming: yeah I agree – their set was the weakest of the whole night. Just as well they were the ones finishing off the night.
Hey, just wondering. Anyone going to Ministry Of Sound on Oct 27? It’s mostly house music right? anyone reckon it will be good for a trance person
Ming: the details for MOS Oct 27 is here:

You can use it to help make up your mind, but don’t wait too long.
I look at it heaps of time. But I still can’t make up my mind. Just wondering what the other people are thinking. I went to some of the DJ’s websites and heard their stuff. Really not my type of music but something else is making me go thinking I might miss out on something. ARGHHHH!!!
Ming: if it’s not your type of your music, then I don’t understand your indecision. Me? I like both house and trance but I might not go to this one because I went to another House rave earlier in the year (MOS Sessions Tour).
