However, white males used to think both white & Asian women like them because they’re more attractive. Western movie and media, always portrait Asian men are rats, white men are hero by Caucasian male directors, reflecting their lack of confidence, jealous and insecurity of losing women’s love. And you’re absolutely right that not all females go for loud, muscular douche-baggy men. Physical strength is no substitute for perception…for perception is the key which unlocks the intangible power of the spirit, these men perceive nothing. Power without perception is spiritually useless and therefore has no true value.

This isn’t just limited towards Asian males, though. Just watch Beauty and the Geek. MANY males and some females are socially and romantically awkward, though I admit that men are put in a tougher spot since they are the ones that are expected to do the pursuing.

However, you need to tell yourself every day that you are worthy, celebrate the things that you love about yourself, and be quietly confident. Not all women like buff, loud douche-baggy guys. Some of us LIKE geeks. Be a geek, but be proud of it. If a girl isn’t into that, or into you, that’s cool, because she’s done you a favour by letting you know ASAP so that you can move onto someone that does appreciate you. Don’t have a pity party about it. Ironically, that very same attitude is what will attract women. When you don’t desperately NEED something, that is when you become atractive.

I have fallen for an Asian guy, and I probably would again. It’s your job to show women that skin colour isn’t an issue. Yes, white guys to have an advantage over you because of their physical nature, however, don’t use that as an excuse. It’s how you make a girl/woman FEEL that matters. If you are confident, no matter what you look like, then you will make her feel safe and that is attractive and it has NOTHING to do with race.

My parents are Chinese from China and HK. I am first generation born in the US. I live in Hawaii, USA and was born, raised, and went to college in the mainland. I have really good friends in North America, Europe, China and a few in Australia. I’ve travelled around Europe and China. I’ve dated/hung out with plenty of girls, ranging from local surfer girls, part-time models, career types, visitors from the mainland, visitors from Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, Japan, China.

I think the bottom line issue here is
(1) PREFERENCE in culture and
(2) basic rules of attraction.

(1) Cultural Preference
You can’t call people racist because they don’t prefer to date an Asian. I dont wanna date a Filipino girl (cuz usually there’s a lot of drama that comes with the territory), am I racist? Its just not my preference and of course there can be exceptions. And I don’t wanna date a dude either; does that make me sexist!???

In discussing this issue, you also have to look into distinguishing culture a bit more. Describing someone as Asian or Chinese or white is not specific enough. You really have to look at how they grew up, which reveals culture. Japanese-American is very different from a person from Japan. Of course, you can get more detailed and ask about he grew up, what kinda people he hung out with, etc. The little dash (-) makes a big difference.

There is a big difference for a white Aussie girl to be compatible to a Aussie born Asian than an Asian born Asian. I’m sorry Mooiness, you moved to Aussieland when you were 14.. I don’t know old you are (maybe mid 20s) but it kinda puts you in the FOB (fresh of the boat) category still. It doesn’t help that I saw a number of your pix and I can safely guess than you mostly hang out with friends who moved here like you and maybe speak your native tongue with them. Of course, you’re gonna have a harder time trying to attract a white Aussie girl.

(2) Attraction
My advice to you is to do what they do. Hang out where they hang out, and where there aren’t too many white boy competition, so no bars and clubs. You need an advantage. So look for a dance class, a community service group, a tennis club, start a band, win a BJJ tourney or do some activity thats safer and have smaller groups. You’ll have more time and chances to have a real conversation and get to know each other, instead of competing against the same ole guys who buy them drinks. Bro you need to stand apart and be a in situation where you’re comfortable or you both feel awkward, like in a dance class.

White girls are girls who are used to white guys. White guys are generally bigger, more attractive, more confident guys; lets not deny this. Asian (local or FOB) guys need to make up for that. Not many girls can see with their eyes how many degrees you have, your IQ, or the size of your retirement account. You need to just go up and say Hi or whatever u guys say down under.

Personally my preference is a Western raised Chinese girl. I don’t want to deal with the drama of a girl being super career driven (as a lot of white girls will struggle with putting family over career a priority) and other inherent cultural differences. And I can’t say that I would be into a Chinese-born (or even one who was stuck in an American/Western “Chinatown”). Believe me, I looked when I was in China/HK. I keep in touch with a few but the cultural gap is too much. Besides, I was told by a missionary who was in China 25yrs and did marriage counseling (a lot of couples where of a Western husband and Chinese-born wife) advised that the wife was very dependent on her emotional manipulation tactics on her husband (moreso than other regular wife, I suppose) and could not let her husband be the head of the family.

Well, let me leave you with this. This same guy as mentioned above said Western-raised Asian guys make the best husbands (even for Western women) because we have the best of the east and west, that is, because we’re family-focused and gentle (East) and career-focused and ambitious (West).
