Yesterday – day 5. This may be a boring entry compared to the past few because I didn’t leave the apartment till 8pm and I didn’t take any photos. I did take some photos of the cats looking cute doing nothing – their specialty. But you already know that the cats are cute so I won’t rehash it.

My food intake throughout the day before 8pm: 2 slices of apple strudels, 2 cans of Nescafe Ice Coffee, 2 bowls of soup which BM made the night before, and 2 slices of bread with kaya.

Nap time: 3 hours.

And then 8pm came. BM drove us to Balaclava to meet up with Moby and a friend of his. The place had a nice atmosphere and the band was good. BM caught up with Moby, I chatted with his friend. Whilst BM and I chomp down on finger food and downed pints of Hoegaarden, good conversation and talking cock ensued. The topics ran the gamut from holidays, Australia, overseas Chinese, and typical Singaporean-isms.

We left Balaclava about 1.5 hours later to meet up with GF at Zouk. After settling in at Velvet, the conversation continued. This part of the night, the conversation stemmed from BM’s thoughts gathered from attending a forum on Singapore’s population in the morning. Without going too much into what we talked about I got a good insight into “Uniquely Singapore” – the challenges and dilemmas faced by modern Singapore because of its geographical location and size, and demographics.

From talking cock to cerebral stuff. The night was complete.

Side note: after living with BM the past few days, I’ve noticed that she and I share similar computing habits. The first thing that we do when we wake up and when we come home from work, is to switch on the computer. But BM is quicker with words than I am. It’s like her mind is constantly spinning and when she sits down to blog, it just flows out.

Another side note: all your impressions about GF gathered from reading BM’s blog are true. He *is* sickeningly sweet, devoted and romantic.
