Yesterday - day 6. I woke up feeling lazy again. If I didn’t planned to have lunch with Wai Loong at Suntec City, I probably would not have left the house again. To some, the quality of their holidays is judged by how much they have done or seen. To me, a good holiday is how much rested I can get my mind to be. Plus seeing close friends and family whom I want to see. I’ve pretty much achieved all that this trip.

The lunch with Wai Loong at Suntec was at a Teochiew restaurant. It was nothing fantastic even though it was quite expensive. The dinner at Moi Kong was much more worth the price. Nonetheless, you can’t place a value on a good catchup session with an old friend.

We talked about old uni mates and how much we have changed, but still remained the same all these years. Wai Loong also made a big case for me to come work in Singapore, like BM has. I would admit that I’m very tempted but I quite like the idea of being close to my parents and having Snoop around. For me, moving would be a big decision and I can’t take it lightly. Very conflicted I am.

For dinner, BM and I were going to The Wine Company on Evans to meet up with June. June was one of the 4 Singaporean girls who were my house mate. The wine we had was very drinkable: the name is too long for me to remember it but BM calls it the “German lychee wine”. The food was good especially the starters except for my Char Kuay Teow. Lesson of the day: don’t order typical hawker fare in an angmoh restaurant, even if the angmoh restaurant is in Singapore.

With June was JZ (yes, pronounced Jay-Zee) her boyfriend. I was very happy to see her being happy with things in her life, and that she has put on some weight. I said it as much to her. BM chided me commenting on a girl’s weight, but June look much better to me lah.

This was her last December.

And below you can see how she is almost one year later.
