Godskitchen 2007! How was it? The music was hard and I loved the sets by Richard Durand, The Thrillseekers and M.I.K.E. (Push), especially Richard Durand’s but overall, I felt the music was better at Godskitchen Perth 2006. Though this year, I socialised more and I danced just as hard and just as much. And plus the following really made my night:
- Three random strangers, one of whom I’ve met last year recognised me from my Youtube clip of Godskitchen Perth 2006, the one that got featured by inthemix. What a buzz. You’d see photos of two of them below.
- A bunch of pretty girls walked up to me and starting dancing with me, just like that. One of them whom I’d assumed is the leader of the group said, “I saw you dancing so happily there by yourself, I thought that we should come and join you.” Woohoo!
- Another girl came up to me and said, “You are a good dancer.” That made me even more high, yeah.
Then there was this funny incident: a girl with an awesome cleavage bent over to fix her top and caught me looking at her boobs. She pretended to be offended, smiled and then gave me a nipple tweak! Ow. But it was so worth it. Hahah!
Lighting was not as bright as Armin van Buuren’s gig in June so I didn’t get as many usable shots as normal – in my first round of culling, I deleted 458 pictures from a total of 637. When the lights did come on strong, I was filming it on video. Bugger! But what I did get, I’m pretty pleased with. So, on with the pictures!
In my group for the night was Simon, Wendy and Lydia. Wendy and I are not as close as before but we’ve past that awkward stage where we can’t be in the same place together.
I like Lydia’s outfit.
These two women below are the ones who recognised me from last year’s clip. Thanks for making me feel so good for recognising me! I forgot your names – sorry! If you see this post and/or the clip on Youtube, please email me – mooiness at gmail dot com!
Mooiness rave report staple: perfect strangers. If you see yourself in the pics here, you can download them and more at my Flickr set.
A couple in skirts.
My batteries ran out an hour into The Thrillseekers’ set – bummer! But hopefully what I did capture on video for you (13:53) would convey the atmosphere of the night adequately. I got a buzz from watching it. ‘Twas an awesome night!

Great coverage. I still think this year was so much better. Some people even saying it’s one of the best GK’s they’ve attended. Party on =) Going to Park Life?
WAAAH!Awesome night out! You’re in your element man. So many good things happening in one night. I’m jealous!
That’s really cool how those randoms recognised you from the inthemix clip! Soundsl ike you had a ball, and I like ur friend Lydia’s outfit!
ricka: yeah even though I think that the music was better last year – more consistent, I still managed to have a good time though. Glad you did too! I’m all partied out for this weekend – my feet are sore. So I wouldn’t be going to Park Life.
blur ting: hahah and the best part about all that was that I didn’t expect any of it. It’s always a good surprise when good things happen without my involvement or initiation. Heheh.
girlstar7: yeah danced till my feet hurt though the music wasn’t as consistent as last year’s. So I just walked around taking pictures and socialising during the down times.
I love Lydia’s outfit too. If I wear it, I’ll seriously look like lamb chop. :-I

Sorry to be a bitch but those boots are NOT hot and NOT flattering in the least.
jl: admittedly, it’s not to everyone’s taste but it fits the atmosphere on the night.
