I didn’t want to jinx it.
I mentioned that I was going for a first interview but I didn’t say how it went.
I didn’t mention that I was asked back for a second interview.
I also didn’t mention that I had a very positive phone call from my new boss when he called to offer me the position.
No, I didn’t want to jinx it by talking about it until I’d receive the employment contract and had signed it. That happened today. And so people, I can safely announce that I have a new job! Yay!
The job’s in an industry that I’m very much interested in, plus I foresee exciting things happening with the company. And the office is in a hip part of the city which means better food and more eye-candy. Woohoo!
The only downside is the longer commute but hey, I get to ride the train on the new Mandurah line. Yes, I got excited about the commute. My life is kinda empty like that. Hahah!
