You can love the cupcake and not the baker

Tonight on “Two and A Half Men”, Charlie used the cupcake as a metaphor for sex,
You can enjoy the cupcake without getting involved with the baker.
As funny as that is, and as much I want to follow that principle, I just can’t.
But as Woody Allen playing Boris had quipped in “Love and Death“,
Sonja: Oh don’t, Boris, please. Sex without love is an empty experience.
Boris: Yes, but as empty experiences go, it’s one of the best.
Heh. I’m also in agreement with another one of Woody Allen’s lines, this one from “Annie Hall“,

I try not to love myself too much but yeah lately? It’s all I’ve got. 
I think you need to get out more and socialise more instead of just hitting the pubs on the weekends. Maybe you ought to hang out in places where you can meet prospective gfs like somebody’s wedding parties, picnics or take up a healthy hobby like salsa dancing….. just thinking aloud…haha

fiona: don’t confuse the intent of this post, I’m not bemoaning my lack of a gf at all. I’m just saying that for me, sex is better with an emotional involvement. As for those activities that you’d suggested? Erm been to too much of those.

I am someone (unlike many females) who can have sex without love, and I don’t necessarily become emotionally attached to everyone I sleep with. I can quite easily have casual sex with someone who I have a physical attraction to, but not necessarily a strong emotional one.
Despite this, however, I do think sex with someone you love or with someone who you have very strong feelings for is much better. Casual sex can be fun, but in general, it is just a physical experience and nothing more. The best sex I’ve had has been with the guys I’ve been in love with, or at least REALLY into.
I gotta love that masturbation quote, so true! How else would we get through all the dry patches?!
