
Spotted outside my local K-Mart.
I can see how this grammatical error could have been made. The train of thought probably went like this:
Yeah, you’d get caught, then you’d go to court … so yeah, don’t get court!
Spell-check won’t have picked it up either since it’s spelt correctly. And I guess in this context, people can understand it anyway. But still. Heheh.

Hmm, I’m thinking maybe they mean it as “getting court” as in getting a court appearance as a punishment? It strikes me as a play on words - shoplifters get caught/court (cause they get both!).
But then again, I might be giving them waaay too much credit!

I’m pretty sure it’s a play on words…I am a bit of an english spelling/grammar nazi being a schoolteacher, and that was my impression!!
