Creamfields Perth 2010 was awesome!
On Sunday, a bunch of us went to The Claremont Show Grounds for Creamfields. The event is organised by the same company that did Stereosonic Perth 2009 and the biggest gripe I had about that was the bar-ticketing system. And it was back this time. Luckily for us, maybe it was the better layout of the arenas or the lower attendance, getting drinks was not a big pain in the ass as it was for Stereosonic.
Plus, the use of two enclosed pavilions right next to each other with superb sound-proofing meant that the music did not leak out into either one, and it also meant that we could flit back and forth depending on our mood.
Mostly though, we kept to each pavilion for lengthy periods of time. The acts that I thought were good: Green Velvet (La La Land!), Dirty South, LMFAO, MSTRKRFT, and my two faves of the night: Ferry Corsten and Marco V. My mind was officially blown when they came on.
Here are some photos taken on my iPhone to give you an idea of the day.
The crowd at Dirty South.
The dark underground rave vibe with Filo & Peri.
One-half of Filo & Peri (left) and Joris Voorn on the right getting ready for his set.
A shot of the crowd at Ferry Corsten. The pavilion was way packed for him.
And this shot of the crowd and Marco V sums it up nicely: he was clapping, we were clapping and we were all very happy.
This would be the second best event of the year yet, right after Tiesto. Bring on Godskitchen! Woop woop!

Wow, those photos are pretty good for iphone photos! Looks like the atmosphere was awesome too.
The lighting was good which makes it easier but a lot of the taken pics had to be junked. The iPhone’s camera really is a POS.
