Hey peeps. I’m off to China tomorrow. The details of my trip were outlined previously.
Blogging will be non-existent whilst I eat delicious food and absorb culture over in my ancestral homeland.
I will back in Perth on Sept 24th with hopefully lotsa stories and photos.

Hey, I was living in China for quite a while and only just returned to Australia 4 weeks ago (after a couple of months at the end backpacking through Asia). It sucks that you weren’t there a few months ago so we could have met up!! I am really looking forward to reading your blog afterwards and hearing about your experiences. Have an amazing time! x
Thanks! I hope to collect a lot of fascinating stories and photos too.
See you when you get back babe =) xoxo
Mochiron!
have fun man
Oh man this is BUGGING me. I came upon your blog via Karen Cheng’s (albeit the post was a while ago yeah…) and after reading your posts and then looking at your pics (heh why not) I’m like NOW WHERE THE HELL DO I KNOW THIS DUDE? Sorry I am a bit embarrassed, we probably went to the same school, if we did, I’m HIGHLY embarrassed. But I am so sure I know your mum..she looks SO familiar. I even went through a mental list of my ex BF’s but nope I did not go out with any Ooi’s. I may be more ancient than you maybe but if you were 30 in 2004, so was I dude! That was the year I had my first babe…2010 and 3 babes later could possibly explain why my brain’s not tuned in quite so right, not being able to place pictures of my pre-kid days together.
Enlighten me? Name of restaurant? which school?
Anyways hope you’re having fun in China. Eat, drink and be merry.
Hi Cynthia!
Ok so I went to Applecross Senior High, did B.Comm/B.Eng in UWA. My mom used to run a restaurant called “Penang Kopi Tiam”, and I used to run one called “Mix” near the UWA Dental School.
I was definitely 30 in 2004 so we are the same age.
