These pics were taken on the day described in KL Update 6 – NYE.
The whole day was spent lazing about the house eating, blogging and watching TV. It’d be NYE partying tonight.
The night started off at Rakuzen, a posh Japanese restaurant. Food was most excellent and we had a big bottle of sake to share.
We headed towards Zouk after dinner. Along the way the crowds and traffic were evident – there are fireworks at the Petronas Twin Towers every year for NYE.
More pics of the Petronas Twin Towers – no matter how many times I look at them, they are still awe-inspiring. Note that Zouk is in a very prime location of the city. Awesome.
Shots of some of us who went together.
The countdown came and went …
Kisses and hugs all around and then we got down to the business of drinking.
Me downing a submarine – a shooter glass of vodka inside a middy of beer.
I trekked over to the main room to catch the atmo there. Took some pics and shot some videos.
When the partying ended and we were leaving, we took some photos with the performers of the night. Happy New Year!
We headed to a secluded side street, to a street-vendor selling wonton noodles. I was told he can be likened to the soup nazi in Seinfeld. Meaning you’ll get your food when you’ll get your food – order, sit down, shut up and wait. 🙂
But the food was sure worth the wait. Especially when you are starving from the hard partying.
That ended the NYE celebrations. Damn that was a good night out.
