Singapore’s Little India

November 5, 2006 5:36 PM

After settling in for a while, we went out to Little India for lunch. It is similar to the one in KL, Malaysia – rich with “Indian-ness”. The smell of spices hung in the air, Hindi/Tamil music was blaring out of a lot of shop fronts, and there was a lot of colour.

We decided on The Banana Leaf. The food consists of briyani rice served on a big piece of banana leaf and assorted Indian curries.

And here’s the obligatory Blinkymummy shots.

mirabella: Cool! Thanks for the tips!

JJJ: can’t get this in Osaka? Incidentally I saw some Japanese in the restaurant and they were really enjoying it. I didn’t realise that they like their curries hot like that too.

    Rodney: it was drool-worthy. 😀

Kynne: Vivo City yeah saw the ads plastered around places. Definitely gonna visit it. Thanks for the restaurant tip!
